Engine 11-1 was dispatched as part of a strike force to 240 Sycamore Rd in Union Twp to the International Fireworks Facility to help protect the property of the approaching uncontrolled forest fire. Crews arrived and staged in the area for a few hours with several other agencies while crews were battling the large fire. The fire never threatened the facility and the crews were later relocated to the command area and staged until later being released.
Members also took time to pose with WFMZ’s very own Dwayne Parker.
